Motorcyclist, 40, dies in hospital after Woodlands accident with van
The van driver, 49, is assisting with investigations.
A 40-year-old motorcyclist passed away in hospital following an accident with a van in Woodlands on Jan. 14.
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed with Mothership that they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Woodlands Avenue 10 and Woodlands Avenue 7, at around 1:15pm on Jan. 14.
The accident involved a van and a motorcycle, police said.
SCDF said the rider was subsequently conveyed to Woodlands Health. He passed away thereafter.
The aftermath
Footage of the aftermath was subsequently shared to Facebook.
It showed a white van at the side of the road next to a junction.
Behind the van was a motorcycle lying on its side on the ground.
A red motorcycle helmet was also seen on the ground. The rider was not shown.
Police had cordoned off the accident scene with traffic cones.
