S'pore man, 70, arrested for threatening woman & banging on door with hammer
The man damaged her door by hitting it with the hammer.

A 70-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly used a hammer to threaten a woman and bang on her house door.
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) said in a release on Jan. 26 that the man was arrested for criminal intimidation.
The police received a call for assistance at Block 5 Saint George's Lane on Jan. 26 at 4:05pm.
The caller informed the police that a man was outside her house, knocking on the gate and hacking the door.
Arrested in four hours
Through follow-up investigations and using images from police cameras, the man was arrested within four hours of the report.
A hammer was seized as a case exhibit.
Based on preliminary investigations, the victim allegedly owed the man money and avoided his calls.
The man reportedly used the hammer to threaten the woman and damaged her door by hitting it with the hammer.
The man will be charged in court on Jan. 27.
If found guilty, the man could face up to seven years imprisonment, a fine or both.
