M'sia man allegedly tries to kidnap girl, 7, gets beaten up by her dad & uncle
The girl's mother wanted to "teach him a lesson".
When a man in Malaysia allegedly tried to kidnap a girl, he suffered the brunt of her family's rage instead when they beat him up for "justice".
The girl's incensed mother took to Facebook with photographs of the man and a lengthy account of what went down.
According to the mother, the incident took place near the toilet of a hypermarket in Melaka on the night of Dec. 19.
Approached while coming out of the toilet
The mother had accompanied her two daughters to the restroom.
She noted that the toilet was near a playground, with many parents and children in the vicinity.
When they exited the toilet, her older daughter was approached by a male stranger.
"A stranger suddenly came over, hugged my daughter, and tried to lead her away. He even said, 'Jom (let's go) enjoy lah!'" she recounted.
The girl is seven-years-old, according to local reports.
Seeing this, the mother yanked her daughter back and shouted at the man, who then left.
She observed that her daughter appeared shaken from the encounter and was crying.
Customer service staff were allegedly indifferent
Seeking some form of justice, she headed over to a customer service counter to make a report.
However, she noted with indignance that the staff failed to spring into action.
Instead of launching an investigation, she said they merely asked her to detail the incident on a piece of paper.
Appalled by the staff's apparent lack of concern, she decided to take matters into her own hands and "teach [the man] a lesson".
Teaching the man a lesson
Scanning the place to see if the man was still around, she spotted him "leisurely drinking water" while sitting at a restaurant.
"Maybe my anger had reached its limit by then," she remarked.
"I told my older daughter, 'Can you watch your sister, please? Mummy is going to go in and beat him up.'"
This plan fell through, however, as her older daughter was crying non-stop.
So the mother ended up dropping her girls back home before returning to the scene once again.
This time, she called for reinforcement from her husband and younger brother.
Photos uploaded by her showed the stranger lying on the floor in a state of undress, surrounded by two men who were presumably the girl's family members.
They appeared to be trying to land a few kicks.
The man escaped naked when passersby stepped in to restrain the family, the mother said.
For the sake of her children
The mother said she'd done it all for her children, who'd been emotionally traumatised by the encounter.
"By beating up someone in public, we allowed our children to witness their parents and elders do something inappropriate. But we later told them to stand up for themselves if they are ever bullied, and not to suffer in silence."
Three days later, on Dec. 21, she made a follow-up post featuring pictures of the alleged culprit in the same area.
She addressed those who blamed her for failing to protect her kid, telling them to "bring the man home and take care of him" so he would no longer be a menace to society.
According to China Press, the mother was reportedly told by the hypermarket that they could not take action against the man as he was mentally ill.
Local police confirmed with the media that they received a report on the case.
Investigations are ongoing.
