As 2024 draws to a close, there’s still time to savour the last few days, and make some happy memories with your loved ones.

From Dec. 27 to 31, CQ @ Clarke Quay will be hosting a slew of activities to usher in the new year.

From AI-powered interactive zones to neon-lit instagrammable spots and photobooths, there are plenty of activities at CQ for you to make the most out of the remaining days in 2024 with your loved ones.

And yes, that includes your furbabies, because CQ is pet-friendly as well.

Apart from the experience zone, there will also be a special countdown event on Dec. 31, with the highlight being two exclusive drone shows.

Hence, regardless if you’re out with a date, or with your family, here’s why CQ is looking to be the spot for your 2025 countdown.

Experience zone

My favourite memories are ones filled with the smiles and laughter of my loved ones, and there’s no better way to make these memories than to do so together.

Whether you’re catching up with a friend before the year ends or spending time with your little ones, embrace your inner gamer and dive into three Quests located around the Fountain Square, each offering a unique activity.

If you’re planning to have a year-end meal at CQ, you can end off your outing at the AI Avatar Generator Booth.

To create your own game avatar using Artificial Intelligence, you’ll simply need to answer a few questions, and a unique character will be generated for you.

After creating the avatar, you'll be able to download the photo via a QR code as a keepsake to mark the occasion.

To enjoy this particular booth’s experience, you’ll need to have spent a minimum of S$20 in a single receipt on the same day.

Speed Strike Reaction Game

Put your reflexes to the ultimate test in this adrenaline-inducing reaction game, as you compete to see just how many light pods you can hit within just 45 seconds.

We know it's fun and addictive, but each game is limited to only one redemption per CapitaStar member, so this is your sign to give it your all.

You could even win up to 5,000 STAR$ while you’re at it.

Charging Zone Photobooth

Step inside the Charging Zone a sleek, futuristic tech game arena with neon lights and capture unforgettable moments with your loved ones in this booth.

It’s a scene straight out of a sci-fiction movie, and guaranteed to power up excitement levels and leave you electrified.

The best part?

The games and photobooth at the Charging Zone are completely free the perfect way to wrap up a day out.

Art zone

The year-end is often an introspective time, and you might be wondering what the future holds.

Well, check out these artists’ depictions of 2025 in a cybergame world style.

You can also admire the skillful blend of street art and graphic design inspired works by local graphic street artist Ben Qwek.

Get the chance to showcase your own artistic talents on the LED touch screens embedded into their work, and add your own contributions to the art displays.

New Year’s Eve Countdown Party

Apart from the activities leading up to Dec. 31, we all know the biggest question on everyone’s minds is: Where should one go to usher in the new year for countdown?

It’s a tough decision, with so many factors at play.

I want to partake in festivities outside of the heartlands, but don’t wish to stay out late.

How will I get home after the countdown?

Will it be too crowded?

If you’re like me, here’s why I’d say CQ is the ideal spot to spend the last moments of 2024, and welcome the first of 2025.

Drone shows

Regardless if you have young children with an early bed time, or if your New Year’s resolution is to start sleeping earlier, CQ has got you covered with activities scheduled before midnight.

There will be two exclusive drone shows at the Read Bridge on Dec. 31.

The first show will start at 8pm — perfect for those who wish to head home before midnight — and another at 11pm for those intending to stay out till late.

Each show will last for five minutes.

Music Zone

Apart from the impressive drone shows, the fun will kick off at 7pm with a heart-pumping 45-minute set from Zouk’s DJ at the Music Zone, located at the Fountain Square.

But that’s just the beginning.

Dance your way out of 2024 and groove into 2025 with live performances by Shirlyn +The UnXpected, all hosted by 987FM DJ Avery Aloysius Yeo.

With a sleek, futuristic neon-lit backdrop of lights and good music, this is the place to welcome the new year on a high.

And even after the clock strikes 12 and you intend to keep the party going, CQ has many nightlife options in the vicinity for you to hop from celebration to celebration all night long.
