Thai mum films her girl saying she sees old woman with 'red eyes' outside when no one around

A video of a young child in Thailand claiming to see an "old woman" outside of her house even when no one was around has spooked viewers online.

What video showed

The short clip, put up by Bangkok Post on Oct. 10, was shot by a woman who grabbed her phone to record the scene after her young daughter, a toddler, began pointing outside of the house as if communicating with someone.

It was dark outside at the time and the video did not show anyone else in the background, as seen through the open front door.

The child was then seen closing the door.

Claimed to see old lady

When the girl was asked by a person off-camera if she saw "grandma" and "that little old lady", the girl replied affirmatively.

The person off-camera asked: "Is she there?"

The girl said: "Yes, she is."

The person off-camera asked again: "Is she wearing a nice dress?"

The girl replied: "Yes."

"And her eyes are red," the girl added, while rubbing her own eyes and looking agitated.

Pulled by the arm

But things took an even more unsettling turn.

The second half of the video showed the girl seemingly pulled outside of the house through the door by the arm.

This caused another person off-camera to gasp audibly at least thrice.

The girl then said: "Stay away. Get away."

She looked back to the camera in a perplexed manner while retreating back into the confines of the living room.

The girl then tried to close the sliding door again.

Responses

The video elicited hundreds of responses on Facebook and TikTok where it was posted.

Many were genuinely spooked when the girl said she could see an entity, and were even more horrified when they heard that the old woman had eyes that were red.

The moment the girl appeared to have been pulled outside of the house set even more alarm bells off.

One person tried to rationalise what happened without appealing to supernatural forces.

The commenter suggested that the moment the girl appeared to have been pulled by the arm was also when she appeared to have tripped on the sliding door's grooves on the ground.

However, this was countered by others who said the girl was first pulled before appearing to trip, which further added to the perceptible horror the child must have felt having been subjected to such an encounter that was caught on camera for posterity.

Those who were sceptical suggested this was all an act by the child.

At least one other commenter suggested this could be a marketing gimmick for a new upcoming movie involving another Thai grandmother, who in this case could make millions die instead, a likely reference to the "How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies" hit film that came out recently.
