Man, 53, dies after getting hit by truck along New Bridge Road

A 53-year-old pedestrian died after getting hit by a truck in Chinatown.

The fatal accident took place on Oct. 28 at about 2:20pm, according to the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

The vehicle had been travelling along New Bridge Road towards Kampong Bahru Road and before Merchant Road.

After he was hit, the injured man was conveyed conscious to Singapore General Hospital.

He later succumbed to his injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
