Schoolgirl dashes across Bedok South Road, barely escapes getting hit by oncoming car

A girl in a school uniform dashed out onto Bedok South Road and barely avoided getting hit by an oncoming car.

Dashcam footage of the incident was uploaded to the SG Road Vigilante YouTube channel on Sep. 27, 2024.

According to the video caption, the incident took place on Sep. 24, at 7:40am.

The footage shows the girl dashing out onto the road, in front of a stationary black van.

The black van can be heard honking as the girl ran past.

The car quickly hit the brakes and came to a stop just as the girl came into view.

A woman in the car can also be heard screaming just as the girl ran past.

A man in the car groaned: "Walao eh..."

A car window can then be heard being rolled down, before the man calls out, presumably addressing the girl who dashed past, "Hello?"

The woman, audibly shaken, shouts: "So dangerous!"

The man can also be heard saying, "You crazy is it?" before the video cuts off.
