PAP Sengkang team debuts PAP Labubu doll during senior citizen grocery drive
It has a white shirt with the PAP logo on it.
There's a new Labubu plushie keychain in town, and it's dressed in white.
Seniors at Compassvale Crescent were greeted by the PAP-themed doll during a Sep. 22 grocery distribution drive by the People's Action Party (PAP) Sengkang team.
In a Facebook post uploaded the same day, Sengkang West branch chairman Lam Pin Min shared photos of him posing with the doll.
The pair wore matching white shirts bearing the red-and-blue PAP logo on the chest.
Lam called the doll the team's "latest and cutest volunteer".
In line with its new status, it also apparently got its own photoshoot:
As well as a spot of honour in the group photo:
It even got to be the subject of a TikTok video posted on Sep. 23, in which it was passed around by members of the team.
Very demure, very cutesy.
What is Labubu?
If you haven't heard of Labubu, it's a little plushie keychain sold by Chinese toy company Pop Mart.
It comes in blind "gacha" boxes, each which contains a different variation of a series.
Labubu was popularised by Blackpink's Lisa who was seen sporting the doll as a bag charm.
This caused an "immediate effect", with queues forming outside Pop Mart stores for days, Pop Mart International market director told The Straits Times.
