Three conveyed to hospital

Responding to queries from Mothership, a Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesperson shared that the accident took place near the junction of Bukit Panjang Road and Bukit Panjang Ring Road.

The SCDF said it was alerted to the accident at about 1:10pm on Aug. 19.

Upon arrival, a van was in a large drain.

SCDF officers used a ladder to gain access into the drain and brought three persons out to safety.

Two were conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and the third to KK Women's and Children's Hospital.

Mothership has also reached out to the Singapore Police Force for more information.

Concerned

Some commenters expressed concern and wondered if the driver was alright, or if there were school children in the van when the accident occurred.

One pointed out that it was fortunate that the drain was not filled with water.
