At least two individuals were injured after two vehicles rammed into a group of men outside a nightclub in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in the wee hours of Jan. 29, 2025.
In a viral social media video, two vehicles — a white Toyota Hilux and a silver Toyota Vios — were seen emerging from an underground carpark.
Despite a crowd of people near the exit, both cars accelerated, with many people seen jumping out of the way.
The two cars disappeared momentarily in the video, but appeared again after making a U-turn into the main road and accelerating into the pedestrians.
Loud screams and shouts can be heard throughout.
Investigations ongoing
According to local news outlet Bernama, local police confirmed that a 24-year-old man who witnessed the event has lodged a police report.
Brickfields District Police Chief ACP Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said:
"Initial investigations revealed that a Toyota Hilux and a Toyota Vios exited a parking area near the nightspot and collided with a group of men, causing injuries to approximately two individuals. One of the victims was taken to the hospital by ambulance."
Four arrested
In a Jan. 30 report by NST, four men have been arrested after the accident.
City deputy police chief Datuk Azry Akmar Ayob said the incident stemmed from an argument between two groups while they were partying.
