Taxi allegedly skids & dislodges fire hydrant at Marina Square, driver, 60, taken to hospital
The driver was conscious when he was conveyed to hospital.
A 60-year-old taxi driver was taken to hospital after a traffic accident at Marina Square on Jan. 9.
The incident happened at around 1:05am.
Footage posted on social media showed the taxi mounted on a roadside kerb outside the shopping mall.
The taxi's bonnet was damaged.
In addition, wet soil, skid marks, and a dislodged fire hydrant could be seen in the wake of the taxi's trail.
Footage by ROADS.sg also showed a male, presumably the taxi driver, being held by someone on the driver's side of the vehicle.
Police believe that the taxi self-skidded. He was conscious when conveyed to the hospital.
