Netflix's 'Squid Game' teases 3rd & final season with new killer robot character
The final showdown?
Netflix has released a teaser for "Squid Game" season three, offering a glimpse of what's to come in the highly anticipated final season.
The teaser video showcases the iconic "Red Light, Green Light" dolls, featuring the original female robot, Younghee, alongside a new male robot named Chulsoo.
In the 15-second clip, players in numbered tracksuits enter an arena where Younghee’s back is turned.
As her face appears at a railroad crossing, Chulsoo is revealed on the opposite side, gazing back at her.
Chulsoo also made his first appearance in the post-credits scene of season two’s finale.
Introduced in season one, Younghee is a key part of the deadly "Red Light, Green Light" game, where players race toward the finish line.
They can move during "Green Light," but must freeze when "Red Light" is called.
Any player caught moving is shot by guns hidden in the doll’s eyes.

Recap of previous seasons
Season one, released in 2021, follows cash-strapped contestants competing in childhood games for a chance to win life-changing sums of money.
Seong Gihun (Lee Jungjae), a down-on-his-luck father, enters the game and is manipulated by powerful figures behind the scenes, including the enigmatic Front Man (Lee Byunghun), who oversees the game.
Season two picks up three years later, following Gihun’s attempt to end the deadly competition for good.
In the season finale, Gihun witnesses the brutal murder of his best friend, Jungbae (Lee Seohwan), who is shot by the Front Man after Gihun leads an uprising of the players.
