A man in Singapore ran and traced a route that formed the "2025" numerals in the shape of a snake, to usher in the Year of the Snake.

However, his artwork led to some questions, as people wondered how the man was seemingly able to achieve tracing out his route as it involved running through backyards.

The runner, Cheng Hock Toh, shared his 21.15km route in Tampines on Jan. 1 in the Facebook group Strava Art.

The post has since garnered 57,000 likes on Facebook and over 600 comments.

This was not the first time Cheng had created art from his running route.

During Christmas, he ran routes like Santa Claus and a snowman.

Confusion

While many praised Cheng for his impressive design, numerous commenters were left confused about how he achieved such a design.

"You just running through people's back yards?" one commenter asked.

Others commented that Singapore has numerous high-rise buildings, and Cheng ran through void decks, giving the illusion that he ran through people's houses.

One suggested method of creating such artworks is to stop and restart the app at certain locations to form the necessary lines and curves on the map.
