Massive rainbow spotted from various parts of S'pore after 4 days of monsoon rain
A double rainbow was visible.
A massive rainbow was spotted from various locations in Singapore on the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 14, after four days of near-continuous monsoon rain.
The rainbow appeared at around 8:30am.
Photos shared to Facebook by Mothership readers showed the rainbow as seen from Hougang, Punggol, and even Jurong West.

A double rainbow was apparently visible from Northshore in Punggol.
And another one taken from further north on Coney Island:
A person on the road managed to shoot it as well:
The faint traces of a second rainbow was visible above the more defined rainbow.
A series of photos of the rainbow was shared in the CloudSpotting & SkySpotting Singapore Facebook group.
The rainbow was photographed at around 8:40am.
The iconic Bishan public housing blocks and Sin Ming private estate are visible in the background of the photos of the rainbow.
Monsoon rain dump
Although the full data is not in yet, on just the first two days of monsoon rain on Jan. 10 and 11, a total of 255.2mm of rainfall was recorded in Singapore.
This was more than the average monthly rainfall of 222.4mm in January.
Heavy persistent rain continued to fall on Jan. 12 and 13.
Even though the skies have cleared up over Singapore with glimpses of some sunshine, rain is expected in the afternoons over the next four days.
Temperatures are relatively lower than usual, hovering between 25.8°C and 28.8°C at around noon on Tuesday.
