Man, 20, falls from height at Prince George's Park Residences in NUS, sent to hospital

[UPDATE on Jan. 14 at 5:10pm: This article has been updated with a statement from NUS]

A 20-year-old man was sent to hospital after falling from a building at Prince George's Park Residences (PGPR) in the National University of Singapore (NUS) on Jan. 13.

The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership that they were alerted to the incident at about 8:10pm.

Police said it was a case of a fall from height.

A 20-year-old man was found injured at the foot of a building and was conveyed conscious to the hospital.

Puddle of blood seen outside canteen: User

A user claimed in a post to the NUS Reddit page that the fall took place at Block 7 of the estate.

The user said a "puddle of blood" was seen outside a canteen, and that police and an ambulance were at the scene.

In an update on Jan. 14, the user claimed that the man was a resident of PGPR.

Police investigations are ongoing

SCDF said the man was conveyed to National University Hospital (NUH).

Another person was assessed for minor injuries and declined to be sent to the hospital.

In response to Mothership's queries, Associate Professor Prahlad Vadakkepat, Master of Pioneer House at NUS confirmed that the man was an NUS student.

"The student who fell from height has been admitted to the hospital and is currently receiving medical attention," Prahlad said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
