Vending machines in M'sia selling Ipoh's famous salted chicken for S$12, ready to eat in 5 minutes

Vending machines in Malaysia are now selling ready-to-eat whole chickens.

And it is not just any marinated chicken.

It is Aun Kheng Lim's salted chicken, a famous dish that is sold in Ipoh.

S$12.14 per chicken

For RM39.99 (S$12.14), the whole chicken is stocked in the vending machine and dispensed frozen round the clock to cater to those who are too busy to cook or feeling peckish in the middle of the night.

Payment is via debit or credit card.

To prepare the protein before consumption, the frozen chicken has to be steamed until hot or microwaved for 5 minutes.

The tender meat and fragrant herbal seasoning has been touted as similar in taste to the dish sold at the eatery in Ipoh.
