Remember GNC?
GNC stores, with their striking red logos, used to be found in shopping malls all across Singapore.
The GNC at Junction 8 mall, for instance, was my family’s go-to spot for fish oil supplements.
If you’re wondering why you haven’t seen one of their stores in a while, GNC has been absent from the Singapore market for three years, but is now making a comeback.
Their products, directly imported from the United States, are now being sold exclusively at selected Watsons stores. You can also buy them online here, or via the Watsons app.
Around 200 GNC products have been launched since Jan. 7, 2025, covering a wide range of health functions across beauty, sleep health and more.

In hindsight, GNC’s past success might have had something to do with our country’s strange fondness for three-letter acronyms. Think ERP, PIE, ECP, and so on.
GNC, by the way, stands for General Nutrition Centres.
