FairPrice to keep 151 stores open on 1st day of CNY

FairPrice Group will keep 151 out of its 164 stores open on the first day of Chinese New Year (CNY) to ensure that Singaporeans can access festive essentials.

According to a press release by FairPrice Group, 42 of these stores will be open for 24 hours and 105 stores will stay open till 5pm.

Open hours for stores will also be extended in the lead-up to CNY

FairPrice Group also said it will be extending the opening hours for stores in the lead up to CNY.

On Jan. 27, six FairPrice Xtra stores will extend operating hours to 2am, while 68 stores will remain open for 24 hours.

For CNY eve on Jan. 28, 35 stores will remain open for 24 hours, with the remaining 128 stores across the island operating until 5pm.

Customers can also continue to place online orders throughout the holiday.

Deliveries for online orders on CNY eve, Jan. 28, will be made between 8am to 8pm, and deliveries on the first and second days of CNY will be made at a reduced capacity.

All stores will return to their original operating hours on Jan. 31.
