A food delivery rider was allegedly left bleeding after he was hit by a car along Stadium Way.

The incident on Jan. 9 was detailed in a Facebook post by Bike Guru.

The post has been taken down.

According to the account, the rider was on a power-assisted bicycle (PAB) when a car collided into him and dragged his e-bike for 200m.

The rider was allegedly left bleeding from his body, arms, and legs.

Photos that accompanied the Facebook post showed the rider seated on the side of the road with a gaping hole in his trousers.

His fingers were also bloodied.

His power-assisted bicycle lay in a mangled heap by the roadside.

An ambulance was called for the rider.

According to the Facebook post, the driver who was responsible for the hit-and-run stopped his car, a white Toyota, on the opposite side of the road and came over to the rider.

He then allegedly told the injured rider that the incident had caused him stress.

Bike Guru also mentioned in their post that drivers in Singapore are legally obligated, under the Road Traffic Act, to stop and render assistance if their vehicle causes injury or damage.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership that they were alerted to the accident at about 6:35pm.

Officers on scene assessed one person for minor injuries; the person declined to be sent to hospital.

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) added that police investigations are ongoing.
