More than 120 people were detained at an "underwear" drug party on Dec. 8 in Bangkok, Thailand, following a police raid at a hotel.
The local police had received a tip-off about the illegal drug party in the early hours of Sunday (Dec. 8), reported SCMP.
However, when police arrived at S31 Hotel at approximately 1:30 am, they were greeted by a scene of loud music and underwear clad males in a large room on the hotel's 20th floor.
Of the 124 people present, all but two were men, and five were foreigners, reported The Bangkok Post.
The party-goers reportedly included doctors and beauty clinic operators.
All tested for drug consumption
Of the 124 tested for drug consumption, 66 were found to have traces of various substances in their blood stream.
Another 31 of the 124 arrested were also in possession of illegal drugs such as ecstasy, ketamine and methamphetamine, said police.
The remaining 27 partygoers who tested negative for drug consumption, and did not possess drugs, were released.
By invite only
Police were alerted to a similar party happening two days earlier in the same hotel room, and found that participants had to apply for admission into the party via a private social media group.
Policemen had attempted to join the group in order to obtain insider information, but were rejected, police added.
The police raided the hotel after being informed that a large number of people were entering the room early on Sunday morning, and that it was likely to be another drug party.
Under Thai law, police are only allowed to detain suspects for a period of 48 hours.
However, police sought the courts' permission to hold the suspects beyond the stipulated period for questioning.
In Thailand, possession of drugs like ecstasy could see offenders jailed for up to 10 years.
