Truck catches fire at PIE Clementi Ave 6 exit, smoke obscures expressway

A truck caught fire along the Pan Island Expressway at about 8:50am on Dec. 10, 2024.
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the fire occurred near the Clementi Avenue 6 exit towards Tuas.
A photo of the fire, which was taken from another vehicle on the road, was posted to Facebook.
It showed billowing grey smoke obscuring the road along the expressway.
One commenter speculated that it was likely a car on fire.

No injuries reported
SCDF added that the fire eventually burnt itself out before they arrived.
There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
