6 men & 1 woman arrested for making & selling porn, including ‘tuktuk porn’, in Thailand
They allegedly took Thais to various locations by tuktuk to make sex videos.
Four foreign men, two Thai men and one Thai woman have been arrested in Thailand. They were charged with making sex videos that were then distributed and sold online.
They were arrested across Thailand, in Bangkok, Chon Burim, and at Suvarnabhumi airport in Samut Prakan, reported The Bangkok Post.
Thai police alleged that they were part of a gang that used Thailand as a base to produce pornography, such as taking Thais to various locations by tuktuk to make sex videos.
The arrest happened after the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division (ATPD), under the Central Investigation Bureau, begun an investigation on foreigners using Bangkok as a pornography production base, according to The Star.
It is part of an ongoing operation to curb the production of sex videos in Thailand.
Pol Maj Gen Sarut Kwaengsopha, commander of the ATPD, announced on Monday (Dec. 10). He said the arrests arose from an ongoing operation to suppress the making of sex videos in Thailand.
Pol Col Pattanapong Sripinproh, head of the arresting team, also noted that one of the suspects possessed several videos featuring minors.
The ATPD said they would attempt to locate the children in the videos before adding human trafficking charges against the suspect, reported The Star.
Those arrested were reported as:
- Volker Matthias, 48, German
- Benjamin John Wilkinson, 40, British National
- Zvezdan Stojanov, 32, Serbian
- Andrei Gerbennikov, 34, Russian
- Sangtien Wongkaew, 26, Thai
- Thanasin Sathantip, 30, Thai
- Rattana Ritprat, 36, Thai
The suspects
Volker was suspected of shooting sex videos with two Thais and allegedly distributed the videos on OnlyFans.
According to the ATPD, the two Thais were later arrested. They were accused of distributing the videos online.
Wilkinson was accused of soliciting Thai women and asking them to ride a tuktuk with him. After which, he would shoot sex videos at different tourist destinations. He would then allegedly distribute the clips on X (formerly Twitter) and his website — TukTuk Patrol.
Zvezdan was accused of posing as a tourist and soliciting Thais for sexual acts. He then allegedly distributed the clips via X, Instagram, TikTok and OnlyFans.
On his social media, he describes himself as a "freelance language Tutor, personal trainer, bodybuilder, gamer, and a biker."
Gerbennikov was suspected of filming a sex video with two Thais.
The ATPD alleged that one of his actresses included a famous Thai porn creator.
Both Thai men, Sathantip and Wongkaew, were charged, separately, with filming sexual acts with other Thais and distributing them on their individual channels.
Ritprat was charged with filming her own sex videos, later advertising them on X, and distributing them on her OnlyFans.
