Running Egg has opened its first outlet at Ang Mo Kio, serving Bangkok-inspired viral runny egg rice dishes.
The hawker stall features authentic recipes created by the original chefs of a popular Bangkok restaurant, known for its long queues among locals.
The menu features four signature dishes from the Bangkok restaurant: prawn, chicken basil, pork jowl and grilled pork.
It also offers a Singapore-exclusive luncheon meat option.
Each dish includes at least four eggs cooked to a creamy texture, with half-cooked yolks served over the rice.
It can be paired with a variety of add-ons, including:
- Luncheon Meat (S$2)
- Chicken Basil (S$3)
- Prawn (S$4)
- Pork Jowl (S$4)
- Moo Ping (S$4 for two pieces)
The recipes have been adjusted slightly for local tastes, with less salt.
Here’s a look at what we tried:
