A vehicle recently caught the attention of social media users due to its unique flashing sign at its rear window.
In a video posted to Facebook on Dec. 4, 2024, a stationary vehicle with a flashing blue sign at its rear that read, "Police, Keep Clear", was seen on the road in Singapore.
According to the video's caption, the vehicle. was spotted on Nov. 30, 2024.
The person who put up the video also questioned if the vehicle was a "legit police vehicle".
Vehicles are from the police's security command
Mothership understands that such vehicles are a part of the police's Security Command (SecCom) department.
Several users in the comments section also pointed out this fact.
Others cheekily suggested knocking on the window of the vehicle to ask the occupants inside for their identification.
According to the Singapore Police Force website, the SecCom department is responsible for the personal safety and security of all cabinet ministers and visiting foreign dignitaries.
CNA reported that the drivers of such vehicles are tasked with escorting VVIPs.
They must also undergo training for advanced driving techniques, which are not usually required of regular drivers.
These techniques include motorcade formation, engaging evasive manoeuvres to shield protectees from harm and escaping hostile situations.
