Singapore defeated Timor-Leste 3-0 in an away match at the Hang Day Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam, maintaining their strong start in the Asean Football Championship.

Japan-born Kyoga Nakamura calmly converted the spot kick, marking his first-ever goal for Singapore.
Substitute forward Shawal Anuar then made an immediate impact, scoring two goals in the 82nd and 89th minutes to seal the win.
Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia and Timor-Leste are in Group A, while Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar and Laos are in Group B.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals of the tournament, also known as the Asean Mitsubishi Electric Cup.
