Shop, eat & let your kids loose. Here’s why Sengkang Grand Mall is a great family-friendly mall.
A great place to chill this holiday.
Feeling bored this holiday season?
Perhaps your go-to hangouts spots aren’t sparking joy?
Or maybe you have curious little ones at home occupying you with their endless energy?
Sengkang Grand Mall is a great family-friendly mall you should check out this holiday, especially if you’re looking for some festive excitement.
Here’s why:
Spaces for play
Need to help your kids expend their boundless energy?
In the playful spirit of the festive season, the mall is hosting an "Artsy Bouncy Christmas" event with bouncy castles, an art workshop and Xpress train ride for the little ones — or the young at heart.
Look no further than the Artsy Bouncy Playland, with its five cute and kid-friendly inflatable bouncy castles.
Those more artistically inclined can unleash their skills with an Art Workshop that includes artsy colouring.
Visitors can also look out for the brightly coloured pop-up displays around the mall for photo-taking sessions with themed characters.
Or, they can hop on the Discovery Xpress train ride that runs around Sengkang Grand Mall during this period.
Besides the event, the mall also boasts a kid-friendly outdoor playground for little ones to run around.
Another way to occupy your kiddos is to drop them off at one of the mall's many enrichment centres such as MindChamps Preschool.
So you can have some time to yourself, of course.
Pamper yourself
Perhaps you feel the need to pamper yourself at the end of a long 2024?
One of the mall's many wellness outlets is Nailz Gallery, a premier one-stop nail spa established in 2013 that offers a range of beauty services.
The outlet is currently having an opening promotion with a manicure-pedicure combo starting from S$48.
For reservations, you can contact the salon at 8945 9023.
Catch up with friends and family over food
What better way to spend the festive season than meeting with friends and family?
If you’re looking to spend some quality time over a meal, the mall has a variety of dining options to choose from.
You can check out Kenny Rogers Roasters, Le Shrimp Ramen and City Hot Pot, all great options for festive gatherings in the colder December weather.
Those hankering to travel to Japan or Korea (but are stuck in Singapore) can get their fix at restaurants like Ippudo and Jinjja Chicken.
And after a day of activities, the mall also has a variety of unique food options to help you refuel.
Don’t miss out on Pitstop Kitchen, one of the first fast food kiosks to serve up Swiss-style rosti, with sauces like black pepper or creamy mushroom.
They have an array of new offerings like their signature Beef Meatball Rosti (S$12.90) and Cajun BBQ Chicken Rosti (S$11.90).
And if you (or your kiddos) love burgers, consider dropping by homegrown chain Shiok Burger, known for their innovative burgers.
Their signature Mala Chicken Burger set (S$5.95) is guaranteed to provide one that spicy mala kick, if you're so inclined.
You can also bring a friend on Mondays to enjoy a two for S$9.90 deal on their Ebiko Chicken Burger that oozes with mentaiko in every bite.
Yummy.
Worth a visit this Christmas
In my opinion, Sengkang Grand Mall is definitely worth a visit these holidays for a day out with family and friends.
An added bonus is that the mall is conveniently located next to Buangkok MRT (Exit A) and the newly-opened Buangkok Bus Interchange, making it perfect for commuters to hop off and explore.
The mall’s "Artsy Bouncy Christmas" event is being held from now to Jan. 5, 2025, 11am to 9pm.
Shoppers who spend S$40 at the mall in a single receipt on weekdays (S$80 on weekends) can redeem 1 play pass worth up to S$35. Terms and conditions apply.
Each play pass entitles you to two play activities at Artsy Bouncy Christmas.
More information about the "Artsy Bouncy Christmas" event can be found here.
