Man, 21, lands on grass after motorcycle likely self-skidded along SLE
He was conveyed conscious to the hospital.
A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital after the motorcycle he was riding crashed along the Seletar Expressway (SLE) on Dec. 5 morning.
Footage of the aftermath of the accident showed traffic police and at least one motorcyclist at the scene attending to the fallen rider.
A Singapore-registered motorcycle was seen lying on its side on the road.
According to the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), they were alerted to the accident along SLE towards Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) before the Upper Thomson road exit between 7:15am and 7:30am.
SCDF conveyed the man, who was conscious, to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
The police said the motorcycle was believed to have self-skidded.
Police investigations are ongoing.
In response to Mothership's queries, the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) said it is aware of the incident.
A MINDEF spokesperson said: "The serviceman was on his way from his residence to camp for duty when the incident happened."
"He is in a stable condition and is receiving the necessary medical treatment."
