A 45-year-old man was found dead in a car opposite Haig Road Market and Food Centre in Geylang.
The police were alerted to the case of unnatural death at Block 8 Haig Road at 10:35am on Dec. 27.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic from the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
No foul play is suspected based on preliminary investigations, the Singapore Police Force said in response to Mothership's queries.
Reportedly worked nearby as fish seller
Photos shared by a Mothership reader showed police officers moving a white body bag from the car into a police vehicle.
A crowd had formed around the scene, which was closed off with police tape.
The car in question was also wrapped in plastic.
According to the reader, the man worked at a stall in the market with his father selling fresh fish.
He had felt "giddy" in the morning and went to the car to rest, but was later found unconscious.
The body was subsequently removed at around 12pm, the reader said.
Police investigations are ongoing.
