'Forever is so long without you here': 987FM DJ Kimberly Wang's dad passes away
Wang described her dad as an "ordinarily extraordinary man".

987FM DJ Kimberly Wang revealed the passing of her father through an Instagram post on Dec. 28, 2024.
She stated that her father passed on in early September 2024.
Looking back at the past
She expressed the depth of her grief, which she described as far more complex than words could capture, despite having prepared herself for the inevitable over the years.
In her post, Wang reflected on the precious moments she shared with her father; including their last vacation together, him picking her up from the airport, making eggs for her in the morning and the way he squeezed her hands whenever they were together.
She described her father as an "ordinarily extraordinary man", acknowledging that while he made many mistakes, he always sought to make up for them in any way he could.
Wang shared that despite his "terrible temper", her father had "the biggest heart" and was always the first to offer help.

Even when he had little to give, he somehow managed to provide "plenty".
She wrote:
“You’ve known me only half your life, but me all of mine; How lonely it is to be alive, alone, no longer as my daddy’s princess. It’s in the way there are no more goodnights to be said. Forever is so long without you here.”
Wang ended her post with a message of resilience, stating that she would carry on with grace.
Fellow celebrities and DJs, including Chen Yixin, Jeanette Aw, Nathan Hartono and Gerald Koh, offered heartfelt messages of support in the comments section.
