"Behind the Canvas Series 1: Jean-Michel Basquiat", an immersive art exhibition, will debut at Marina Bay Sands from Dec. 16, 2024, to Mar. 6, 2025.

This marks the first instalment of the "Behind the Canvas" series in Asia.

It highlights the work of American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, known for revolutionising contemporary art with his raw, emotive neo-expressionist style.

His art explores themes of identity, race, and social dynamics, with notable works such as "Untitled", "Pez Dispenser," and "Trumpet".

Visitors will explore interactive installations, rare archival materials and multisensory experiences that foster deeper engagement with the themes in Basquiat’s work.

The exhibition aims to provide a fresh, accessible perspective on his legacy, encouraging reflection and dialogue on the broader societal issues his art addresses.

Part of Singapore Art Week 2025

"Behind the Canvas Series 1: Jean-Michel Basquiat" is also a key feature of Singapore Art Week 2025.
