Issue has been identified and fixed: U.S. manufacturer
The manufacturer, Riverside Natural Foods Inc., had announced the recall of certain batches of MadeGood granola bars on Dec. 9 due to the potential presence of a piece of metal in the product, which could be hazardous if consumed.
The company said that no injuries were reported, and the recall was being initiated as a precautionary measure.
The recalled products were produced between January and November 2024.
Riverside added that it has identified and remediated the source of the issue in the manufacturing process, and that the new processes have been tested to mitigate future risks.
In its release, SFA noted that under Singapore's food laws, food products known to be unsafe for consumption should not be sold.
Those who have consumed the products and are unwell should seek medical attention, SFA said.
Consumers may contact their point of purchase for enquiries.
