Cyclist self-skids while cycling beside bus on S’pore road, almost gets crushed
His bicycle appeared to have been run over.
A cyclist cycling on a wet road almost got crushed by a bus when he skidded and fell.
A dashcam video shared on the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page on Dec. 24 showed the incident happened along Jalan Bahar Road on Dec. 24.
Lost control of bicycle on wet road
In the video, the cyclist was riding on the left-most lane of the road, which was a merging lane.
The road appeared wet, as seen from the visible puddles on the pedestrian pavement.
As he was cycling, a bus came from the merging lane's right side.
But while they were still quite a distance apart, as it appears to be in the video, the bicycle suddenly toppled, and the cyclist fell to the ground.
The cyclist fell on his left side, narrowly escaping the bus' wheels while part of the bicycle appeared to have been run over.
Another dashcam footage captured the cyclist standing by the curb, looking at the bus which had stopped ahead.
