Boy, 5, among 3 people sent to hospital after 5-vehicle accident in Choa Chu Kang
A 69-year-old taxi driver is assisting with investigations.
A five-year-old boy was among three persons sent to hospital after a five-vehicle collision in Choa Chu Kang on Dec. 9.
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident along Choa Chu Kang Street 62 at about 8am.
Two lorries, two taxies and one car were involved, police said.
The aftermath
Footage of the accident's aftermath was shared to the Singapore roads accident.com Facebook page on Dec. 11.
It showed the five vehicles in a line on the road's left-most lane, next to the pavement.
Some of the vehicles were damaged from the accident.
Footage also showed that the entire front bumper of one taxi had fallen off.
The clip also showed that traffic cones were placed at the accident scene.
It is uncertain how exactly the accident occurred.
Taxi driver, 69, assisting with investigations
Police said that a 33-year-old male car driver, his five-year-old male passenger, and a 61-year-old male taxi driver were conveyed conscious to the hospital.
SCDF conveyed two of them to the National University Hospital and one to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
Another 69-year-old male taxi driver is assisting with investigations, police said.
Police investigations are ongoing.
