4 sent to hospital after chain collision at Yishun Ave 2, man arrested for driving whilst under disqualification
One other person declined to be sent to the hospital.
A 24-year-old male car driver was arrested for driving whilst under disqualification after a chain collision involving one lorry and four cars along Yishun Avenue 2 towards Canberra Link.
The police confirmed with Mothership that they were alerted to the road traffic accident on Dec. 13 at about 6:35pm.
Two car drivers and two car passengers aged between 24 and 65 were conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
Another person was assessed for minor injuries but the person declined to be sent to the hospital, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said.
Police investigations are ongoing.
Aftermath
The aftermath of the accident was captured and uploaded on Facebook group Singapore Stuff.
In the video, three cars appear to have sustained damage to their bumpers.
The white and black cars also have damage to their rear portions.
The black car, positioned between the white and red cars, seems to have borne the brunt of the force.
A loud, incessant honking sound can be heard throughout the footage.
