Thailand bus driver struggles with elderly passenger's non-stop farting

A video of a bus driver in Thailand struggling to endure the foul smell of a passenger’s incessant flatulence has gone viral on TikTok, amassing over 635,000 views.

TikTok user @wittaya104033768 shared the clip on Dec. 17, capturing a bizarre and comical moment during a bus ride.

Passenger couldn't keep it in

According to a Facebook post by Thai media outlet Khaosod English, the incident occurred on a bus traveling from Bangkok to Pattaya.

Passengers and the bus driver were subjected to the unpleasant smell caused by an elderly female passenger’s frequent flatulence.

In the video, the bus driver is seen holding a towel over his nose, his face contorted in discomfort.

A female passenger seated directly behind him also appears to be suffering from the odour, covering her nose.

The person recording the video can be heard gasping and laughing at the situation.

To cope, they seemingly resorted to using a Hong Thai herbal inhaler, a popular remedy in Thailand for combating nasal congestion, stuffy nose and dizziness.

No escape

The video’s comments section was filled with humorous reactions.

Many viewers sympathised with the driver, noting that he couldn’t escape the situation due to his duty.

Meanwhile, another empathised with the elderly passenger, admitting they wouldn’t have been able to hold it in either.
