An Audi Q7 was seen running the red light along Tampines Avenue 5 at around 11:12am on Dec. 9.
Footage of the incident was caught by the dashcam of another vehicle and uploaded to SG Road Vigilante Facebook page.
What video shows
According to the video, a pedestrian, who had the right of way, could be seen crossing the street at the time as the green man was on.
However, he had to make a sudden stop halfway after noticing the Audi heading straight at high speed with no intention of slowing or stopping.
The pedestrian pointed at the vehicle when the car drove past.
By the time the pedestrian reached the other side of the road, the Audi Q7 had already travelled out of the camera's frame.
In the comments section of the video, many commenters criticised the Audi driver's reckless action and demanded the authorities to take action.
Several commenters also praised the pedestrian for his alertness, as he was not distracted.
The penalty for running a red light outside a Silver Zone and school zone is 12 demerit points and a S$400 fine.
