If you are visiting the southwestern part of Singapore anytime soon, you can consider making a pit stop at Adik Cat House.

No, it is not a bona fide tourist venue like Haw Par Villa or Gardens by the Bay.

But, yes, the spot will amuse cat lovers to no end.

The makeshift house in Pasir Panjang, which belongs to a feline named Adik, is marked as a "tourist attraction" with a 4.8-star rating on Google Maps.

Details of the house

According to Google users, the house, which appeared to be repurposed from a metal container, was built by Adik's caretakers.

Besides featuring Adik's photos that face the road, the house also comes with a roof and cushions for Adik and her feline friends to sleep in.

Photos taken by visitors also showed that the caretakers had previously adorned the roof with lights and plastic flowers.

Besides her elaborately designed home, Adik also enjoys chilling on fixtures nearby, such as the recycling bins, chairs, and the grass patch.

Positive reviews

Besides giving Adik and her house a high rating, many visitors also wrote positive reviews on Google Reviews.

Praise for Adik included "favourite cat in Singapore", "the best tourist attraction in Singapore", and "a must-visit".

Amidst the positive feedback, there were a few visitors who were apparently not as impressed by Adik and her house, but most cat lovers will know it is never the cat's fault.

For instance, one visitor decided to leave a two-star rating after Adik refused to let him pet her.

In response, the owner of Adik Cat House and presumably one of her caretakers, offered some words of encouragement:

"Sorry, my friend! [Adik] needs a dedicated two years to win her heart. Better luck next time, my friend! Do not give up!"
