2 cyclists lose their way in Mandai Forest, police & Gurkhas deployed to find them
A bit too adventurous.
Two cyclists on mountain bikes went missing on Dec. 28 after losing their way in the Mandai forest.
They were found within four hours, according to a Facebook post by the Singapore Police Force (SPF).
Upon being informed of the situation at 1:04pm, officers from the Ang Mo Kio division, Jurong division, and Gurkha contingent were deployed to find the missing cyclists.
They were found unhurt, and brought to safety by 4:10pm.
In a series of photos posted on Facebook, the two men can be seen being escorted out of the forest by the officers.
The police advised members of the public to stay on designated trails while cycling or trekking, "for their own safety".
Good advice.
