The coin features a zodiac snake set against the backdrop of Henderson Waves within the Southern Ridges.

The coin's front bears the Singapore Coat of Arms with the year 2025, said MAS.

There will be 10 variations to choose from comprising different face values, shapes, metallic compositions, and minting relief effects.

Face value for a coin range from S$2 to S$200.

Customers can also buy premium sets with different coin combinations.

Following the order of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs, the series will run from 2017 to 2028.

Pre-orders can be placed from Nov. 15 to Dec. 15, 2024

The coins are legal tender at face value.

MAS also added that there is no guarantee that such coins will appreciate in value over time or be easily sold at their purchase price in the secondary market.

However, the coins can be redeemed at their face value when deposited with the banks or MAS.

To order and check the prices of the coins, you can visit The Singapore Mint site or call 6566 2626.

Pre-orders can be placed from Nov. 15 to Dec. 15, 2024.

If oversubscribed, MAS said the coins would be allocated by balloting.
