Widow appeals for return of phone belonging to husband who died in Changi motorcycle accident
The family have been calling the phone to no avail and are appealing to the public for help.
The widow of a Malaysian man who died following an accident with a car in Changi on Nov. 5 has been trying to recover his phone.
Muhammad Isma Azwa Md Salleh, aged 33, was on his way to work on his motorcycle when he met with an accident at 8am, according to Berita Harian.
He was taken to Changi General Hospital (CGH) but could not be saved and passed away at about 11:15am.
He had been working as a hydrographic surveyor at Boskalis International (Singapore) and had moved to Johor Bahru from Kuala Lumpur two years ago with his wife for greater convenience in commuting back and forth.
The couple were originally from Kelantan.
Phone contained photos & important info of their child
The day before he died, he told his wife, Norshahirah Nabihah Mohammad Azan, that his phone contained a note for her, as well as details of a banking account he opened for their eight-month-old baby boy.
The couple had reportedly waited seven years to have a child.
In addition, the phone also contained a photo of the deceased with his son at the beach taken on Nov. 4
Appeal
Nabihah has since put out an appeal for the public's help in recovering her husband's phone.
Her sister, Nurshahirah Nadiah Muhammad Azan, was quoted by Berita Harian as saying: "We know his phone was taken because my sister (Nabihah) could track it and it moved away from the location of the accident."
Nadiah added that the police, friends and family had tried calling the phone.
She pleaded: "Please return the phone to us. If you intend to sell it, sell it to us. We will not question or blame you."
Members of the public with details of the phone can contact Nabihah at +60 19766 5773 or Nadiah at +60 13969 6212.
