Wet & thundery on most days in S'pore for first 2 weeks of Nov. 2024
It's unfortunately going to be warm still.
Don't forget to pack your umbrellas.
Moderate to heavy thundery showers are expected over parts of Singapore in the afternoon on most days in the first two weeks of November 2024.
The showers may extend into the night on a few days as well.
According to the Meteorological Service Singapore, the Sumatra squalls may also bring widespread thundery showers accompanied by gusty winds on one or two mornings.
The total rainfall for the first fortnight of November 2024 is forecast to be above average over most parts of the island.
However, the days are still going to be warm.
The daily maximum temperatures are likely to range between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius on most days and slightly exceed 34 degrees Celsius on a few days.
Less wet the past two weeks
The second half of October 2024 was less wet than the first half, with short-duration thundery showers falling over parts of the island in the late morning and afternoon on some days.
Singapore recorded well below the average rainfall, with Jurong West registering about 85 per cent below the average rainfall.
It was also a warm two weeks, with daily maximum temperatures registering above 34 degrees Celsius on most days.
The highest daily maximum temperature, 35.6 degrees Celsius, was recorded at Paya Lebar on Oct. 21, 2024.
