Attendees at UOL corporate dinner in S'pore do blackface & don afros, company apologises
The attendees were in a bright 80s get-up, sporting purple jackets, afro wigs and sunglasses.

A photo was uploaded to TikTok on Nov. 24, 2024 showing a group of attendees in blackface at a corporate dinner organised by local real estate group UOL Group Limited (UOL) and Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG).
The image, posted by user @summer88959, showed eight attendees in blackface posing for a photograph.
The caption on the image read, "Emmm... like that will kena or not?":
The attendees also donned bright 80s get-up, sporting jackets, afro wigs and sunglasses.
The group attended a dinner and dance event by UOL, "The Rhythm of the Night", held on Nov. 14 at the Sands Grand Ballroom at Marina Bay Sands.
According to a post by user @surejwrites on X, the group also won an award that night.
A comment on the TikTok post also claimed that the group was nominated for a "best dress" award.
Mothership reached out to UOL and Pan Pacific Hotels Group for comment.
Pan Pacific Hotels Group directed Mothership's queries to UOL.
UOL has since issued an apology, CNA reported on Nov. 25.
A spokesperson for UOL told CNA: "We sincerely apologise for any offence caused."
