A 35-year-old manager of a Uniqlo store in Toshima Ward in Tokyo, Japan, was arrested by the police for secretly filming up to eight female customers in his store's changing rooms.

According to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) on Oct. 31, Kohei Takahashi used his smartphone to take photos of nine women between Jul. 28 and Aug. 13.

A 15-year-old girl is allegedly amongst the victims.

According to Kyodo News, when Takahashi was arrested, he reportedly said: “I could not suppress my desire to see their underwear.”

What he did

To carry out his alleged voyeurism at the store in Otsuka, Takahashi would guide his targets to the changing rooms and then waited for other staff to leave the area.

He would then slip his smartphone under the curtains for two to three seconds to take photos of the customers changing.

His crimes in the Uniqlo store were uncovered after he was arrested in August for taking upskirt shots of high school girls on the JR Yamanote Line.

His smartphone showed 44 videos of women that were likely taken in changing rooms.

Fast Retailing, the owner of Uniqlo, released a statement that they are cooperating with the police and "deeply apologise to the victim and her family for the great inconvenience and pain" they have caused, reported Tokyo Reporter.
