Talk about being too lucky.
The S$1.19 million Toto Group 1 prize on Nov. 21 was won by a staggering 13 winners.
This resulted in each winner taking home S$91,571 as a result.
The winning numbers were 4, 7, 11, 14, 21, 28.
The total amount won was S$1,190,423, Singapore Pools disclosed.
One of the winning tickets was bought from the famous Tong Aik Huat outlet in Hougang.
Four were bought from NTUC Fairprice and Sheng Siong outlets, and two others were from trading stores.
Two were quick pick entries.
Are these popular numbers?
One explanation why there were more than a dozen winners for the top prize in this round could be because the numbers drawn are deemed popular numbers.
This means that they can be used to signify calendar dates, such as birthdays or anniversaries.
It is rare to have more Toto Group 1 winners than Group 2 winners in a draw.
The Group 2 prize for the Nov. 21 draw had just six winners.
Each Group 2 winner took home S$41,770.
The next Toto draw will be on Monday, Nov. 25 at 6:30pm.
