Korean actor Song Jae Rim dies aged 39

South Korean actor Song Jae Rim has died on Nov. 12, 2024.

According to Yonhap, the 39-year-old's cause of death has yet to be determined.

Found dead at home

Song was found dead at his home in Seoul in the Seongdong Ward at around 12:30pm (South Korea time) on Nov. 12, according to Seoul police.

He was found by a friend who had made plans to have lunch with him.

A note was also found.

Authorities have ruled out foul play.

Song, who gained fame after his role in the Korean drama "The Moon Embracing The Sun", also appeared in other shows, such as "Cool Guys, Hot Ramen," and "We Got Married".

Prior to his death, he had changed his Instagram profile message to, "A long journey begins."

Song's family told Yonhap that only a small funeral involving only family members will be held.
