They say it is 'generous' of the employer to offer such attractive terms.

However, the ad has drawn curious stares.

An image of the posting, sans the employer details, was posted on a meme page with more than 115,000 people on Nov. 1.
It received almost 10,000 reactions and more than 4,000 shares.
On Nov. 2, it was reposted to the Complaint Singapore Facebook group where it also gained traction.
A check on the MyCareersFuture website revealed that the ad is still up.

Responses
Responses to the job listing were funny and eye-opening.
One commenter on the meme page highlighted the 6-to-1 perfect balance ratio.
Another commenter said such working conditions are normal in Asian countries.
Others who have worked six days or more a week said such conditions are still a reality for blue collar jobs, even though it is 2024.
Some commenters also pointed out the tone of the "generous" offer.
On the Complaint Singapore Facebook page, commenters asked for the employer's name.
Others pointed out that such job descriptions are effective in weeding out a large segment of potential hires as they are meant for a certain demographic, such as those from Malaysia who are accepting of such offers.
However, the MyCareersFuture portal was designed to cater to the needs of Singapore citizens and permanent residents to promote hiring of locals.
According to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), employers submitting Employment Pass (EP) applications must first advertise the job on MyCareersFuture and consider all candidates fairly to promote fair employment practices and improve labour market transparency.
