Which Asian country is the "Greatest of All Time"?

To Malaysian comedian and actor Ronny Chieng, it's unsurprisingly his home country Malaysia.

Chieng shared his sentiments whilst filming an episode of #GOATTALK with American comedian Jimmy O Yang, debating on the "best country in Asia".

"Malaysia, Truly Asia"

Chieng and Yang discussed the "best Asian country", with Yang choosing Japan, and getting mocked by Chieng for it.

Yang then asked Chieng which country he would pick.

Humming to the "Malaysia, Truly Asia" campaign slogan by the Malaysian Tourism Board, Chieng sheepishly smiled as he signed to the camera.

"[Malaysia has] the best food in the world," Chieng claimed, but Yang then countered that Chieng's "entire Instagram page was on hating Malaysian-Singaporean people".

"No, I never hate on Malaysians," Chieng said, to which Yang hit back asking, "Just Singaporeans?"

Nodding in agreement, Chieng further added, "and Australians".

Drew support from fellow M'sians

Chieng summoned fellow Malaysians with his bold comment, with many expressing their gratitude to him for "putting Malaysia on the map".

While some were happy to hear the familiar jingle ring through, others were also skeptical as to whether it was part of a paid campaign.

Open about his disdain for Singaporeans

It's not the first time Chieng has talked openly about his views on Singaporeans.

In March earlier this year, Chieng garnered mixed reactions when he posted an Instagram story flaming Singaporeans.

In three short paragraphs, he called Singaporeans out on our knowledge of worldly affairs, gave a shout-out to Lee Kuan Yew, and praised our chilli crab.

He also added that S'poreans are "Karens" with "main character syndrome".
