Ophir Road hit by flash flood, PUB issues warnings for several places amid downpour
Several officers were deployed to render assistance.
Heavy downpours resulted in a flash flood along Ophir Road near Bugis on the afternoon of Nov. 17.
National water agency PUB issued several flood warnings for several places in Singapore amid the heavy rain, and urged the public to avoid these areas.
In a post on X at about 2pm, PUB warned the public to avoid Ophir Road, and deployed several officers to render assistance in the area.

The flood subsided at about 2:50pm, and traffic was passable, the agency said in a follow-up post on X.

Other affected areas
The agency said heavy rain is expected over northern, southern and western parts of Singapore between 1:30pm and 2:30pm.
The following places are at risk of flash floods:
- Tanjong Pagar/Craig Road
- Upper Hokkien Street/South Bridge Road
- Jalan Boon Lay (Enterprise Road to International Road)
On Nov. 16, PUB issued 10 flash flood risk warnings across the island amid heavy rain.
The public was told to avoid these areas for at least one hour.
