Priest injured in knife attack at St. Joseph's Church in Bukit Timah
One person, believed to be the priest, was taken to National University Hospital.
A priest was injured following an alleged knife attack at a church in Bukit Timah on Nov. 9.
According to CNA, the incident occurred at St. Joseph's Church, located at 620 Upper Bukit Timah Road.
The priest was allegedly stabbed, reported The Straits Times.
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they received a call for assistance at around 6:30pm.
One person was taken to the National University Hospital.
Around eight police vehicles and 20 officers were seen at the scene as at 7:50pm, reported CNA.
Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Edwin Tong shared in a Facebook post that the subject has been disarmed and apprehended.
Mothership has reached out to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore and the police for comment.
