Mercedes crashes into Sembawang lamp post, driver, 24, gets out & stands in middle of road
He was apparently in shock.
On Oct. 30, a white Mercedes-Benz car crashed into a lamppost and knocked down three to four small trees at Sembawang Road.
According to Shin Min Daily News, after the driver got out of his car, he ran to the middle of the road and stood there in a daze.
The car was severely damaged, with parts scattered across the grass, and the airbags were deployed. Meanwhile, the lamp post broke into two.
Shin Min Daily News reported that the driver was apparently in shock and needed someone to support him at one point. He even needed the company of a friend to go to the toilet.
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and Singapore Police Force (SPF) were alerted to a traffic accident on Oct. 30 at 8:50pm along Sembawang Road towards Canberra Road.
SPF stated that it was believed the car had self-skidded along the road.
A 24-year-old male car driver sustained minor injuries but refused conveyance to the hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
